Custom software development in GironaOne engineer,
start to finish.

I design, build and maintain the software a business runs on every day: internal platforms, websites connected to real data, and tools that replace spreadsheets and manual work. The person who designs your system is the one who answers when you call.

Custom software running today

Three client systems in three industries, plus Comanda, my own product. Client names are withheld for confidentiality.

  1. Operations pipeline of a custom real estate platform

    01Real estate

From first contact to the notary

Platform for a five-office estate agency that also brokers the mortgage: pipeline, property records, agenda and a public site in three languages.

Operations are now centralised in a single platform: every step is clearly defined and everyone knows their task at any moment.

  2. Deadline dashboard for a professional services practice

    02Professional services

    Recurring work, under control

Templated tasks, real filing-calendar recurrence and a dashboard that shows the partners which deadlines are at risk and why.

The practice has replaced its agenda with the platform: work is assigned and tracked there, with reports on each employee's output and the work billed to each client.

  3. Animal record in an animal shelter management system

    03Animal shelter

    From rescue to signed adoption

Animal records with health history, foster placements, adopters, legally binding e-signature and the shelter's public website.

The shelter's daily activity is managed entirely through the portal and website: work, communication and contracts are all handled within the platform.

  4. Comanda point-of-sale: restaurant floor plan with each table's status and total

    04Own product

    Comanda, the point-of-sale with VeriFactu

My own product for bars and restaurants: floor plan, orders, payments and a QR menu on the tablet you already have. Every sale is sent to the AEAT automatically, with VeriFactu included at no extra cost.

Software development services

I take ownership of the system: define it, build it, put it in production and keep it running for as long as the business uses it.

Custom software development

Internal platforms, public websites connected to your data and installable web apps, from a single codebase.

Consulting & architecture

I study how the work is really done, decide what to automate and what to leave alone, and design a system that holds up for years.

Infrastructure & deployment

Servers, databases, backups, monitoring and go-live. Documented and under your control.

Maintenance & evolution

Support, fixes and new features as the business changes, so the system never falls behind.

About the studio

Few clients at a time, so every system gets the attention it needs for as long as it runs.

Re-Ark is the studio of George Adrian Gabor Olteanu, a software engineer in Girona with six years of building systems for clients across very different industries.

Your data and infrastructure always belong to you, and you can take everything with you at any time, free of charge. Proposals come in phases, and each phase delivers something you can use straight away. I work in Catalan, Spanish and English.

Questions about custom software

How much does custom software cost?

As a guide, a website with an administration panel starts at around €1,500, and a custom management system starts between €3,000 and €7,000. The final figure depends on the number and complexity of features and the infrastructure required. Every project begins with a detailed estimate of hours. Once the budget is approved, it is fixed: if the work takes longer than estimated, the additional time is my cost, not yours.

How long does a project take?

A website is typically delivered within four weeks. A custom management system usually takes between one and three months, depending on its scope. Before launch, we hold a live review session where I present the complete system and gather your feedback, adjustments and any issues. A final development phase follows, and then the system goes into production. New projects can usually start immediately.

Who owns the code and the data?

Your data is always yours, and the system runs on a server registered in your name. The source code remains Re-Ark's intellectual property, and you can be given access to the code repository at any time on request. If you decide to end the collaboration, you keep everything you need to continue, at no cost. Re-Ark may reuse generic components in other projects, always fully anonymised and without disclosing any of your data or internal processes.

Why custom software instead of an off-the-shelf tool?

Off-the-shelf tools work well for standard processes. When your business needs something specific, custom software adapts to how you work instead of forcing you to adapt to the tool. The initial investment is higher, but it is a one-time cost rather than an ongoing subscription, and you only invest again when you decide to add new features. The system grows with your business, without the limitations of a generic product.

What happens after launch, and what does maintenance cost?

Every project includes 90 days of maintenance at no extra cost, covering bug fixes and minor improvements. After that period, any fixes or new features are billed by the hour, only when you request them. Hosting is contracted in your name and typically costs around €60 per quarter. Support is direct by phone, with a response time of under one hour.

Can it work with what we already use?

Yes. Most businesses already work with spreadsheets, accounting software such as A3, or other tools. For an advisory firm, Re-Ark built Excel and CSV import directly into the platform, so existing data could be brought in without manual re-entry. Any integration you need will be assessed, and if it is technically feasible, it will be built.

How much of my team's time will it take?

Very little. You designate one point of contact, and I only reach out when a decision or clarification is needed, with a progress update at least once a month. At handover, I run a single training session for your whole team, typically three to five hours, and deliver a detailed user manual with screenshots and step-by-step workflows. Ongoing questions can be sent by WhatsApp, with replies usually within the hour, and urgent matters can be handled by phone.

What if something happens to you?

Your business never depends on a single person. At handover, the company's management receives full technical documentation and an encrypted file with the credentials for every service the system relies on, including hosting, domain, code repository and email. Systems are built with widely adopted technologies that any qualified developer can take over, backups run automatically, and trusted developers are available to step in if ever required.

Do you work with clients outside Girona?

Yes. Re-Ark works remotely with clients anywhere in Spain and internationally, and current clients are based across Catalonia. Meetings, reviews and training can all take place online. If an in-person visit is required, travel expenses are shared with the client. Services are offered in Catalan, Spanish and English.

Let's build it.

Tell me which process is eating your team's week. You'll hear back within one working day, then we set up a 30-minute call. If it makes sense, you get a phased proposal with scope and price.
